PA-C, Clinical Director
Rebecca Brown, PA-C has been a primary care practitioner in Central Maine since 2006. She joined Oasis Free Clinics as the Clinical Director in June, 2017. Rebecca provides acute and chronic care to our patients and coordinates patient care plans with our volunteer providers. Rebecca strives to provide knowledgable medical care in a environment of compassion and trust.
In her free time, Rebecca running, reading, making pottery, and spending time with her family.
Richard P. Corbin
MD, FACP – Medical Director
Dr. Corbin brings extensive clinical, educational, administrative, and research experience to Oasis. He is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians whose clinical experience was in Critical Care and Pulmonary Medicine. Dr. Corbin has supported and campaigned for universal access to healthcare for decades. He believes that access to high quality medical care, delivered with compassion and respect, is a basic human right.
Community Prescription Assistance Coordinator
Kim is Oasis’ Community Assistance Program Coordinator. She is responsible for processing requests for prescription assistance for patients of Oasis as well as patients of other practices in the community. She tracks orders, communicates with patients, their healthcare provider’s office and the drug companies to ensure timely delivery of medications and refills. She also helps patients find alternative sources of affordable medications when there are no programs available for specific drugs, and helps seniors on Medicare who “fall in the donut hole” obtain their medications.
Rick moved to Brunswick in 1980 with his wife Sue , where they raised their three children and ran his general dental practice for 32 years. He is now retired. Rick has been involved in the Oasis Dental program since it started in 2004. He is an avid outdoorsman and loves to spend time at his camp on Moosehead Lake with his family, friends and his beagle named Lucky.
Anita’s experience includes 20 years of government and non-profit program planning, administration, communications and marketing experience. She earned a Master of Public Health degree in Community Health Education from the University of Tennessee and is a Master Certified Health Education Specialist. Anita has held leadership positions at MaineHealth, Maine Medical Center and the U.S Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Tammy is a native of the Mid-coast area. She graduated from the University of Maine, Orono, Dental Assisting Program in 1987, where she obtained her Certificate in Dental Assisting and Dental Radiology Licensure. Since then, she has had the privilege of working in the fields of dentistry including General chair side, Orthodontics, Pediatrics, Oral Surgery & Endodontics. She brings a host of experience and knowledge to her dental profession. In her spare time, she loves the great outdoors such as hiking, running with her dog, walks on ocean beaches and quiet nights sitting under the stars. She has an immense love for her family, friends and church, all of which bring her great joy.
Mental Health Coordinator
Lisa is our Mental Health Coordinator, seeing clients for initial assessment, triaging need for psychiatrist involvement for medical intervention, and coordinating referrals to our volunteer therapists for short term counseling support. She also maintains volunteer therapist records, coordinates scheduling, facilitates monthly peer supervision meetings for volunteer therapists, and offers expertise and suggestions regarding our Mental Health Program at Oasis. She also maintains a busy private practice in downtown Brunswick, with a prior 6 1/2 year stay on staff at the Mid Coast Hospital Psychiatric Partial Hospital Program.
